I’m Tyris



Tyris a native of Chicago

has been on the jazz scene for several years performing in local jazz clubs in and around the city.

Tyris is dedicated to perfection in his playing and as a musician, producer, and composer, he has participated and helped create some memorable music for other artists around Chicago including Mike & Gina Thurston, Monique Whittington, and Euclid Gray as well as international artists such as Jai Walia of New Delhi, India,



I like to write songs that

speak to the innermost being of a person and music is a universal language that appeals to all the people of the world.” says, Tyris.

After several years of playing the organ for church, Tyris began honing his talents around Chicago. He then proceeded to show from Chicago Clubs to the international stage in countries like Korea, China, Hong Kong, India, The Philippines, and Singapore.



The CD "Angel" is the sophomore

release of, Tyris with smooth piano melodies on songs like ‘Trinity’, and funky grooves like the hit song ‘Melissa’, written by his guitar player Leonard ‘Len’ Stallworth and the title track ‘Angel’, with smooth vocals that compare with such artists as Diana Krall and Nancy Wilson.

Tyris have been interviewed and featured in magazines and newspapers around the world and appeared on major television shows such as Good Morning India and World News.

Tyris is currently preparing for his latest venture while on tour – a live recording..

Be Led By Your Dreams

I pursued my dreams to be able to perform in many of the Jazz clubs in Chicago. I then had my eyes set on playing overseas. I have performed throughout Asia including Singapore, China, Hong Kong, S. Korea, and India.



Universal Language

When I first performed outside of The U.S, I was so nervous, but after hitting the first note, I quickly found out that music is a universal language with different rhythms and tempos but yet understood by all.



The Journey

Part of my aim as an artist is to take you on a musical journey. I try my best to compose music that will speak directly to your heart as you listen. And then perform it with passion and improvisation.
